For this round, we had to create trim sheets for our existing assets. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the trim sheets on time, an...

This week's assignment involved Upresing and UVing the Cannon Model in Maya, and then exporting it to ZBrush. I'd already submitted ...
Has a lot of great detail. Not sure why a couple wood planks are facing the wrong direction.
ReplyDeleteThe shapes in your cannon look really nice, I would control the wood a bit more to make it look more real, also soften your shadows and blur them, use AO to get some better quality renders.
ReplyDeleteShadows are a bit too harsh. The wood sculpt can have a bit more contrast. I am a little confused on why some regions on cannon are clean and only some have grunge.
ReplyDeleteThe wood texture it really good, I like how you swirled the wood grain. The cannon could be a little bit more beat up, your edges are a bit too perfect and could use some wear.
ReplyDeleteReally clean shapes! The textures for the wood look a bit stylized compare to the canon.
ReplyDeleteCannon is looking pretty good but add more detail on the small metal bits
ReplyDeleteHi! I really like your wood work!! My critique would be to smooth out the subdivision levels.
ReplyDeletewood is not consistent and is lacking texture and detail
ReplyDeleteI think your cannon and environment look great! The details are going pretty well. I would suggest having a shot where we can see 1 cannon by itself so that it is as big as possible on the image. Some of the edges of the metal rings of the barrel look very clean and do not have any wear.
ReplyDeleteLooking good. One thing, are the pillars in the staging also wooden as well? Would have loved to see how it looked altogether in the rendering. The cannon needs just a bit more depth and some more details. A reference image would be great to see how you have progressed.
ReplyDeleteHello, I really like the stylized detail of the wood and barrel. I would recommend shape breakup in the wood grain. In your environment, the wood is a little inconsistent but I think more detail would make it look great!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Anupama! Your details are looking good so far! I recommend deepening the wood grain on the stage and rough up the edges to make them really pop. I would like to see a render of your canon and staging combined too. Nice work!
